Dr. Kim Thor

Dr. Thor uses a "whole person approach". This approach to wellness means looking for underlying causes of any disturbance or disruption (which may or may not be causing symptoms at the time) and make whatever interventions and lifestyle adjustments that would optimize the conditions for normal function. Using this unique approach, Dr. Thor is able to help you to accelerate and/or maintain your journey to good health.

Dr. Kimberly Thor was very involved in the Norfolk community while attending Norfolk Catholic High School.  She volunteered with Meals on Wheels, she was part of the volleyball team her freshman and sophomore years, the choir her freshman year, the dance team all four years, the cheerleading squad all four years and she was part of the One-Act drama productions as well as the musical productions for all four years of her high school career.  She received the 'Best actress' award at State One-Act in 1999, helped her varsity cheerleading squad take first place at camp in 1999 and traveled to London,England to be a cheerleader in the millenium parade on New Years Day in 2000.

After graduating from Norfolk Catholic in 2001, Dr. Kim moved on to Creighton University in Omaha, Nebraska where she was active in the Best Buddies program as well as the Gamma Phi Beta sorority.  She also worked part-time with the Miller family at Downtown Chiropractic in Omaha, Nebraska before graduating in 2005 with a degree in Biology.

Finally, Dr. Kim attended Palmer College of Chiropractic in Davenport, Iowa.  She worked part-time for two of her professors, Dr. Bhogal and Dr. O'Neill at Peak Potential Chiropractic in Davenport.  She was also a teacher's assistant during her last two trimesters there.  Before graduation from Palmer, every student is required to deliver 250 adjustments in the student clinic.  If this goal is reached a trimester prior to graduation, a student may enter a preceptorship/internship.  Dr. Kim was able to meet this goal ahead of schedule, and did her preceptorship in Thousand Oaks, California. She returned briefly to Davenport, Iowa to graduate in February of 2009. She now feels at home in Norfolk, Nebraska and is very eager and excited to give back to her community.

Dr. Kim Thor has been freeing people from pain in the clinic in Norfolk, NE since August 2009. Dr. Thor is committed to promoting optimal health and well being of patients of all ages.  Dr. Kim Thor is a licensed Chiropractor serving the Norfolk community. She is certified through the National Board of Chiropractic Examiners parts 1-4 and physiotherapy.
